The High Forest Project
Many things have happened since I last updated this site. I spent several months as a Builder, DM, Head Builder, and finally as a GM of the Silver Marches Project, before leaving due to differences in opinion and general (not total) lack of help.
Since that time I have been playing other games and working on another Neverwinter Nights project. This project, while located very close to the same area, is of a much smaller scope. When I originally began discussing plans for that project among the other members involved, I had very specific goals in mind to bring back a sense of spirit in the community similar to that of a group of people playing a pen and paper game. Since leaving that project, I continued tinkering with the insides of the game and have been building this project in the spirit intended for the first.
I have spent time refining item cost calculation, spell effects, basic class features, and attention to detail of a large merchant city. Since implementing the database backend for the Silver Marches Project, I have chosen to use a much simpler database system, and through my testing, it is much more stable. Details of my work and plans for the project can be found on The High Forest Project page.
Finally, an update.
While this site has stagnated quite a bit, I have been working on a redesign. After discovering that Internet Explorer doesn't accept the mime-type for xhtml 1.1 and that Netscape 4.x has horrible support for any sort of CSS, I have moved everything over to my new domain, miscreation.net
Updated Site!
Well, sort of. The backend has been completely redesigned. You probably can't tell much difference, but it's there. The database has been revised and the code looks much cleaner as well.
GtkX10 Update
Version 0.1.3 is out with patches to add labels to your buttons. An example label config file is included in the distribution tarball. As always, if you have any questions or patches, please send them to me
Update: If you download the new version before 10:20 EDT today, please redownload as it is the old version. I am truly sorry for the mixup.
Re-Write!!!
I have begun redesigning the site's backend. I am looking into some more advanced uses of the database and some more involved php code.
